About GVBA

The Green Valley Beekeepers Association, Inc., formed in 1962 and incorporated in 2019 as a non-profit organization, serves Daviess, Hancock, McLean and other counties in Kentucky for the purpose of promoting the avocation and vocation of beekeeping, sharing ideas and techniques through educational programs, mentoring new beekeepers, and providing the opportunity for camaraderie among members with mutual interests. Our membership consists of all levels of beekeepers from beginners to advanced commercial operators. We encourage those who are interested in becoming beekeepers and want to learn how to get started to attend our monthly meetings which are held on the first Monday of each month (except Independence Day and Labor Day) at 6:30 p.m. in the Daviess County Cooperative Extension Service’s classroom at 4800A New Hartford Rd (behind Owensboro Community & Technical College), Owensboro, KY 42303. Current membership dues of GVBA are $15.00 per household annually.
